| Is it right that with PowerArchive I can view DVD content without having the actual DVD mounted? (at least Filenames and can search for specific files). Are often used files cached on disk or will be the actual DVD each time mounted when I request the file? What happen, if the DVD is not in one of the changers, will the PowerArchive prompt for it and remember the new device and slot? What is the strategy if there are free slots for example in all three connected changers? Can MP3's also only be played off a DVD inserted in the device with the lowest serial number? (like 3 Sony changer dasy changed with MS Media Center edition) |

PowerArchive gathers information about all of the metadata available about the files. A sample image is available on the linline help...

If you have the Google Indexing on, then it will read the image and file content and index that information. Now you can use either an Explorer interface to find the file like on one of your drivers or Google Desktop to search for some key word.
If you wanted to play a MP3, you can double click on the file found in PowerArchive. If the file has been cached it will play it immediately. If not it will attempt to locate it on a disc and cache it or play it directly from the disc. If the disc is detected that it is not in the changer PowerArchive will request if you'd like to mount it in an available slot. If the disc is located and the file is missing an error will occur. |

| There is no upgrade from Explorer to Archive. No Vista support is currently available. The latest version of Google Desktop removed some key search features, so we're not sure if it's compatible anymore. (At least with M$, once their API is open, it stays open, should have used M$ Indexing instead) |
