I'm having a problem with PowerDVD running a custom .bat file...has anyone seen this error, or can someone tell me exactly what the error means?
I've got 100+ DVDs with data that I want to mass-copy to a large HD. The .bat file has a simple xcopy command in it to copy the entire directory structure from each DVD to HD.
On the last run, I scheduled the copy from slots 161 to 200. The job gave the task error on slots 166, 177, 182, 186, and 196. In PowerDVD, if I select those tasks again and choose "requeue" I see them all go to a "queued" status, and then immediately back to "Task Error..." (no DVDs were mounted, and I didn't hear the carousel spin).
For these individual disks, I can still use Power Explorer to mount the disks and manually copy data from the DVD, so I know the DVDs are 'good' ...
I was considering putting a pause in the .bat file to give PowerDVD time to mount each DVD, but since I'm getting the errors without the discs even attempting to mount, I don't think that would help.
I can also say that this problem is intermittent. In the last batch of DVDs, I was able to go back to Power Explorer, create a new set of tasks to copy the previously-failed DVDs, and they all worked the 2nd time.
I have the latest version of Power Explorer (as of 8/11/07).
Has anyone ever seen this before? |
